Website Support and Maintenance Policy

Tsuchi Web Studio aims to explain how domains, hosting, source code, support cancellation, and website transfers will be handled after launch. This policy outlines the basic terms intended to support the continued operation of your website.

01

Domain management

We confirm how your domain, the address of your website, will be managed so it can continue to be used reliably after launch.

  • As a general rule, we register and manage the domain under our account and payment method.
  • Domain costs are either included in the monthly support fee or quoted separately at cost in advance.
  • We can also assist if you prefer to register and manage the domain under your own name.
  • Domains with unusually high registration or renewal fees, or domains requiring special arrangements, will be discussed before registration.

02

Hosting

We provide straightforward management of the hosting environment required for a typical small website.

  • As a general rule, the website is operated in an environment managed by us.
  • Hosting administration required for normal operation of a small website is included within the monthly support service.
  • Third-party hosting services such as Vercel may be used.
  • We will consult with you in advance if substantial traffic, a paid hosting plan, special functionality, or additional third-party service fees are expected.
  • Any additional work or cost will be explained and approved before it is incurred.

03 / IMPORTANT

GitHub and source code

Website source files are managed in a format suitable for maintenance and updates. Transfer requests are handled individually.

  • Website source code is normally stored in a private repository managed by us.
  • While a support agreement is active, we manage the source code to the extent required for updates and revisions.
  • If source code is required for transfer to another provider, internal management, or continued use after support ends, we can provide the code and assist with the transfer for an additional fee.
  • Source code delivery and transfer support generally start from ¥100,000.
  • The final fee may vary depending on the project size, number of pages, documentation requirements, and transfer workload.
  • General-purpose templates, shared components, and proprietary production methods may be excluded from delivery.

04

Payment details and passwords

Sensitive account information should remain under your control whenever possible.

  • As a general rule, we do not retain credit card numbers, security codes, service passwords, or similar confidential information.
  • When a third-party service is contracted under your name, we can assist through screen sharing, temporary access, or another secure method.
  • We will provide instructions for required setup or complete the setup on your behalf where reasonably possible.

05 / IMPORTANT

Ending monthly support

If monthly support ends, we will discuss whether the website should remain online, be transferred, or be taken offline.

  • For websites published in an environment managed by us, continued publication, transfer, or shutdown will be discussed individually when monthly support is canceled.
  • Updates, revisions, incident response, and consultation are generally not included after cancellation.
  • Transfer work, data organization, environment documentation, or handover to another provider may incur an additional fee.
  • Domains and third-party services registered under your name remain your responsibility after support ends.

06

Service closure initiated by us

If we become unable to continue management or support, we will cooperate with the handover required for continued use of the website.

  • If management or support must end for reasons on our side, we will provide as much advance notice as reasonably possible.
  • We will cooperate in handing over the information, data, and source code required for continued use of the website.
  • Reasonable handover assistance required because of a service closure initiated by us will generally be provided without charge.
  • This does not constitute a guarantee of indefinite maintenance or operation.
